先后主持国家自然科学基金项目(面上项目3项、主任基金1项)、国家重点研发计划、国家中药材产业技术体系项目、国家科技支撑课题、国家863计划子课题、国家重大新药创制项目、中央本级重大增减支项目、国家质检公益行业科研专项、山东省重大科技专项等项目40余项。获得国家科技进步二等奖(第5位)、山东省科技进步一等奖(第1位)、山东省科技进步二等奖、三等奖等奖项20余项。获授权专利38项。获得国家实物标准50余项。几年来,以第一作者或通讯作者在Analytica Chimica Acta 、Food Chemistry、Journal of Chromatography A、等国内外重要刊物发表论文200余篇, SCI收录150余篇,SCI他引1500余次,首位授权发明专利26项。主编《高速逆流色谱技术》、《pH区带逆流色谱技术与应用》专著2部、参编著作3部。
兼任国际逆流色谱技术委员会委员、中药资源生态专业委员会副主任委员、国家标准样品委员会天然产物工作组副组长、中华中医药学会中药鉴定分会委员、中药标准化技术委员会委员、《中国中药杂志》编委、《分析仪器》编委等。
指导研究生情况:从2006年起共培养毕业硕士研究生80余人,目前在读博士研究生2人,硕士研究生10人。毕业硕士研究生升入澳门大学、中国中医科学院、北京中医药大学、中国农业大学、江南大学等知名高校院所攻读博士学位,多人次研究生获得国家奖学金,1人获得山东省优秀毕业生。
